This year’s General Practice Nursing and Healthcare Assistant Conference will take place on Wednesday 26th April 2023 from 9.30am-3.30pm at the Lincolnshire Showground.

The theme of the conference will be The Future of General Practice Nursing. As we emerge from the pandemic, we will be focusing on looking ahead to the future and discussing exciting new ways of working, innovations and sustainability within Primary Care.

Awards Nominations

The conference will include an awards ceremony to honour the achievements of the Primary Care nursing workforce over the past year. Please use the online form below to nominate an individual or team who you feel deserves recognition. All winners will receive a trophy, certificate and prize! Closing date for nominations: Friday 17th March.

Award Categories

Innovator of the Year Award

This award will be presented to an individual or team who has successfully implemented a change project. The project could be either clinical or non-clinical in nature. The winner(s) will have demonstrated clear motivation to improve patient care and services or workforce development/management.

Outstanding Contribution to Education Award

This award will be presented to an individual or team who have provided learners hosted or employed by the practice or PCN with an excellent educational experience. The winner(s) will have shown demonstrable commitment to ensuring that the students, apprentices or other learners are given the best possible support and guidance in their learning journey, as well as relevant practical experience to help them maximise their skills and competencies.

Team of the Year Award

This award will be presented to a team who have demonstrated cohesive, integrated working with measurable results. The winners will have shown forward-thinking practice and understanding of the impact of a positive team culture on services and patient care.

Patients’ Choice Award

This award will be presented to an individual or team who has been identified by a patient or patients as having made a clear difference to their lives. This could take the form of a patient nomination, a thank you letter or card or other form of recognition.

Nursing Associate Apprentice/HCA of the Year

This award will be presented to an NAA or HCA who has demonstrated excellence in the workplace and a clear commitment to patient care. The winner will show consistent motivation in enhancing their skills and competencies and furthering their learning journey.

NMC Registered Professional of the Year Award

This award will be presented to an NA or Nurse who has demonstrated excellence in the workplace. The winner will show consistent motivation in enhancing their skills and competencies and will go above and beyond in delivering a high level of patient care.
