Minor Oral Surgery Dental Nursing Programme (x6 three-hour sessions)

This blended, online course aims to provide dental nurses with knowledge and understanding to support clinicians and patients during minor oral surgery procedures


During the sessions the course provider will discuss:

  • Professional responsibilities and specific role of the dental nurse to support patient care
  • Pre-operative procedures and infection control
  • General, dental and regional anatomy and the relevance to patients’ treatment needs
  • Pain and anxiety control
  • Wound management and re-cap on medical emergencies

  • Post-operative care and complications
