The Personalised Care Institute is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Personalised Care Week’ – a four-day ‘roadshow’ of webinars, videos and educational activities showcasing best practice examples, lived experience and education on personalised care, as well as a free headline half day virtual conference.

Taking place from the 25th to the 28 September 2023, a major theme of the week will be the role of personalised care in tackling health inequalities – defined as unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population, and between different groups within society. These include how long people are likely to live, the health conditions they may experience and the care that is available to them.1.

To explore how personalised care can be used to tackle these health inequalities and support people’s health and wellbeing, an exciting lineup of health and care experts, along with people with lived experience, will share best practice, new research and ongoing projects.

A particular highlight of the week will be the Tackling Health Inequalities: The Role of Personalised Care’ Conference – a free virtual event featuring Professor Bola Owolabi, Director of Health Inequalities at NHS England, as the keynote speaker.

Taking place virtually on the 28th of September, 2023, from 09:00 – 12:30 BST, the conference will bring together a wide range of health and care experts and people with lived experience to discuss the role of personalised care in reducing health inequalities.
