Aakash Saha Jansari

Paramedic Science Student Ambassador

Hi! My name is Aakash and I’m a first year student at Keele University studying a 4-year Paramedic Science course with an integrated Masters. I have lived in Lincoln most of my life and studied at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Horncastle. I took A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I also did an EPQ which looked at the possible benefits of being musical when either applying to medical school or working as a doctor. The Future Doctor and Future Health Care Professional events at Lincolnshire Training Hub gave me some valuable insight into my options after school.

Alongside my studies I play the cello and volunteer with St John Ambulance. I’ve been lucky to have some amazing opportunities and life experiences with both. Through music I have been able to play is some amazing venues in the UK and Europe, and even got through to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with the Chineke! Junior Orchestra.  With St John Ambulance I have supported patients at a variety of events from local village fetes to the Emirates football stadium and Lords cricket ground. In my spare time I enjoy playing badminton and in musical theatre pit orchestras.

As a student ambassador I hope to use my experience applying to both medical and paramedic science schools to help others be successful in their applications to their chosen courses.
