Carol Deague

Nursing Mentor

I have been a nurse since qualifying from York in 1993. After many years looking after children, and 15 years out of Nursing, I came back as a Return to Nursing student. I have always loved Community and Practice Nursing and was lucky enough to get a position based on completing the Practice Nurse Degree in Leicester. Eight years on I now work for a GP in Welton, with specialism in Diabetes Care, Travel Nursing and IPC.

In my spare time, I am a farmer’s wife, love baking, smoking and preserving food, and have found a novel use for an old vaccination fridge for making salami! I care for numerous dogs , cats, chickens and a horse.

I am passionate about opportunities for all nurses, past, present and future, and look forward to supporting you on your journey, however you got here and wherever it takes you.
